Ellen was educated in the Harpswell School System, graduated from Brunswick High School in the class of 1963 and from University of Maine, Orono, Class of 1967.
On June 28, 1978, Ellen and Willard Proctor were married at Elijah Kellogg congregational Church in Harpswell.
Ellen retired from Bath Iron Works Financial Division in February, 2007, after more than thirty four years service.
Ellen was pre-deceased by her father in 1986 and her mother in 1994.
Ellen is survived by her husband, Will; son, Timothy Halpin; grandson, Matthew Halpin; cousin, Deborah Downs Hirst and husband Brian, all of Harpswell, as well as her constant companion “Buddy” the cat. Ellen leaves many wonderful friends whose lives were touched by her.
