BIDDEFORD — Junior Beth Suggs of Bath and Kelley Paradis combined for 37 points and 19 rebounds to lead the University of New England women’s basketball team to a 78- 63 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win over Curry College Monday evening at the James A. Beaudry Gymnasium.
The victory was the sixth in a row for the conference-leading Nor’easters, who improved to 13-3 overall and 8- 1 in CCC play. Curry dropped to 6-10 on the season, 4-5 in league games.
UNE is now 15- 1 all- time versus Curry, including five straight wins.
Suggs racked up her third double- double of the campaign, recording game highs with 19 points and 13 boards. She shot eight of 16 from the floor and also was credited with three steals.
