BATH — Jesse Devereaux provided a spark off the bench as the Brunswick Junior High seventh-grade boys basketball team rolled to a 52-18 win over rival Bath Middle School on Thursday.
Devereaux scored all six of his points during a gamechanging 22-4 second-quarter run as the Huskies took control for a 28-10 halftime lead. Caleb Cost also chipped in with six of his team high 12 points during this run.
Instrumental in the victory was Brunswick’s rebounding edge of 31-20 to start many fastbreak points. Cost, Austin Phillips and Corbin Teal continued their strong inside game with 20 combined caroms.
Ali Al-FaiSwaili led Bath with nine points, while Damon Osmond chipped in with six.
