Interested in knowing more about what’s going on for seniors in the region and enjoying a healthy lunch?

If so, please join the Lake Region Elders Thursday, May 1, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Naples Municipal Building on Route 302.

All are welcome to attend this free meeting, co-sponsored by Wellness Associates and Southern Maine Agency on Aging.

In addition to networking opportunities and a buffet lunch, participants will learn about the region’s new Healthy Maine Partnership, “Healthy Lakes Region,” presented by Amanda Beal, Healthy Lakes Region manager at People’s Regional Opportunity Program. Susan Lavigne, also from PROP, will discuss PROP’s Senior Volunteer Program and elicit ideas to strengthen the program.

The purpose of the Lake Region Elder Network is to identify needs in the community, promote awareness of existing resources, and develop new resources for unmet needs for adults 60 and over in the Lake Region.

For more information on the luncheon and programs, contact Dona Forke at 221-6508 or dona@fairpoint.net.
