I was appalled to see headlines in your Feb. 8, paper stating “Sebago selectman taken to a mental hospital.” This man is a fine person, native of this town, and a conscientious hardworking selectman who is battling a problem. To me the battle is a personal one and not a newsworthy item. “Mental hospital” is an archaic term not used for many years and used here in very poor taste. This man deserves much better press than this.
