Deputies are looking for a cross-dresser who has been jumping in front of female motorists in Standish and Buxton while wearing provocative underwear.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office described the man as “a person of interest.” He is a thin white male, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, around age 30 with brown hair, a thick brown mustache, women’s underwear, a garter belt, camisole and thigh high stockings.

He has been reported wearing black high-heel boots some of the time. There have been six separate reported incidents involving the man, the first occurring in April 2007 on Warren Road in Standish.

The most recent incident occured Feb. 3 on River Road in Standish. The female victim told police the man attempted to run her off the road and cut her off in the travel lane. He then pulled to the side of the road and displayed himself to her.

Police say the man has been seen driving both a black sedan and a red pickup truck, possibly a Toyota. He draws attention to himself by pulling over and jumping in front of motorists, creating an obstruction.
