Kid’s Night Out

The Saint Joseph’s College Athletics Department is pleased to offer its Kids Night Out program on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Alfond Recreation Center on the White’s Bridge Road campus. The event, open to children ages 7 – 13, consists of games, movies, swimming, arts & crafts and sports. The program runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The price will be $9 per child and $6 for each additional child from the same family. Kids Night Out is sponsored and supervised by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Saint Joseph’s College. Pre-registration is not required. Toddler movie night

Toddler Movie Night at Town Hall is back. This is for toddlers only, so parents don’t worry about them making noise, fidgeting, getting up, running around or any of the other concerns you have about taking a toddler to the movie theater. Toddler movie night is Friday night, free and open to residents of Standish. This week’s movie is “Ratatouille,” and begins at 6:30 p.m. Parents are required to stay and encouraged to bring a blanket and pillows to sit on. Don’t be afraid to come in pajamas. Artists Honored

Edna Libby Elementary School students Meghan Morrow, Kyla Hewey, Lauryn Silva and Erik Christensen were announced as winners of the Standish Recycling Calendar Contest. The school, located on Fort Hill Road, awarded the four with a gift certificate from the Standish House of Pizza and the honor of having their art featured in the calendar. Winners also had their prize pictures framed.

Ice Skating Party

Standish Recreation is hosting a free ice skating party Sunday Feb. 10, at the Jonson Field ice rink on Route 35. There will be a bonfire, refreshments and music provided. The party runs from 2 – 5 p.m.
