South Windham was the hub of the town until development began in North Windham. Parades were held frequently and this picture from the 1950s shows 30 (yes, I counted them) mothers and daughters waiting for the doll carriage part of the parade. In June this year, Windham will again have a parade – perhaps some of these same people will take part! This photo came from an album given to the Historical Society by Natalie Jameson’s mother.
