Steep Falls Public Library: Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Story hour for toddlers and preschool children is held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Story hour is free and open to the public.
Active Senior Citizens of Standish holds meetings the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 11 a.m. at the Steep Falls Fire Barn. Lunch is $3 and reservations are required before 9 a.m. the Monday prior to the meeting. To reserve a spot, call Alvida at 642-4929 or June at 727-6215.

Feb. 24: Open Gates Equine Rescue will hold an Open Barn on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 407 Morse Road in New Gloucester. Come over and check out the horses. If questions or need directions, please call 926-5570.

March 1-31: Curves for Women in Windham is holding its annual food drive during the month of March. Women may join March 1 through the 10th with no service charge -based on an annual contract- when they bring in a full bag of groceries. For those not wishing to join, Curves will be accepting non-perishable, healthy food donations throughout the entire month. At the end of March, all food will be donated to the Windham Food Pantry.
March 2: Eighth Annual Maine Milfoil Summit at the University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn. The summit will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and the event is free.
