Editor,
Now that it’s time to vote for our local leaders, everyone has an opinion on who should be elected. Everyone’s candidate is the one that will save the world if elected.
Well, folks, don’t worry. In fact you really don’t even have to vote. I stumbled across some earth-shattering information. Our Savior is already here. As before, we have to wait awhile until He grows up. But don’t worry. Be patient. Help has arrived. How do I know this? I saw Him, really I did.
He was at a local market. And this time, just as before, He has arrived as a child. I first noticed Him as I stood in line to cash my check. He reached out three times and pulled on a display case of fake coins. His mother called him by name, “Jesus Christ leave stuff alone.” I was amazed at the openness of his mother. I wondered if maybe I misunderstood. A few moments later, however, He appeared again in His mother’s arms. I heard His name called out again. As he reached out for a number ticket at the deli, “God I wish I left you home” was the verbalization His mother sent out as she pulled him away from the number machine.
I was amazed and awestruck over the fact that I was in the presence of not only the second coming, but His mother as well should I speak? What should I do? With trembling knees I just quietly got my potato salad and left. However, as fate would have it, He appeared again in his mother’s arms just two customers behind me at the speedy checkout lane.
Again his mom could be heard verbalizing to him. Her voice was loud, clear and authoritative. As she spoke, everyone in line knew how eager she was to one day share her son with all mankind as she bellowed out, “Leave my hair alone! I can’t wait till you’re with your Father again.”
So there you have it, folks. Our world will soon be one of peace, love, and compassion. Unless, of course, I only witnessed another parent setting a poor example of child rearing!
