Stolen phone

On July 31 at about 11:30 a.m., a cell phone was reported stolen from an unlocked car on Beach Street.

Attempted tub theft

On July 31, a witness reported seeing an attempted theft the night before at the Spa and Tub Depot on Route 1. She told police she saw a man in a cream-colored truck back up to one of the tubs. When she walked over, he drove off without the tub.

Burgled kitchen

On July 31 at 1 p.m., a stove valued at $974 and a refrigerator valued at $1,956 were stolen from a new, unoccupied house on Holmes Road.

Stop talking

On Aug. 1 at about 12:20 p.m., a man reported to police that his girlfriend was talking to his friend on the phone.

Missing statue

On Aug. 2 at about 9:30 p.m., residents on Gorham Road reported the theft of a $600 bronze statute of a whistling boy. The statue weighed about 70 pounds.

Stolen backpack

On Aug. 4 at about 8 a.m. a $360 hiking backpack was reported as stolen from Camp Ketcha on Black Point Road.

July 31

Randall G. Dill, 23, of Forest Avenue, Portland, was arrested on a warrant charge of failing to pay a fine/habitual offender.

Richard A. West, 52, of Portland, was arrested on two warrant charges of failing to pay a fine for habitual offender and operating after suspension.

Marilyn R. Redegeld, 37, of Gorham Road, Scarborough, was arrested on Route 1 on a warrant charge of failing to appear for false plates.

Adam L. Harriman, 27, of Cutts Street, Biddeford, was arrested on Route 1 on charges of failing to submit to arrest, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug, operating under the influence and violation of bail conditions.

Merrill, 25, of Main Street, Biddeford, was arrested on Main Street on two warrant charges of failing to appear for operating after suspension, failing to notify, false plates-Old Orchard Beach, operating after revocation, a warrant charge of failing to pay fine for violation of restraining order – Biddeford, a warrant charge for assault – Saco and two warrant charges of failing to pay fine for operating after revocation in Biddeford.
