The Gorham Ecumenical Commission would like to thank all runners and walkers who participated in the Habitat for Humanity House to Hope 5k race/walk on May 20 at Gorham High School.

A total of $2,300 dollars was raised for the Greater Portland Chapter of Habitat For Humanity. Habitat For Humanity is a program that believes all people deserve decent housing. Homes are built all over the world with volunteers doing the building and donated building materials.

This year’s Julius Marzul award for the runner with “heart,” was presented to Sam Snow-Cronin of Cumberland. This award is given in memory of Julius Marzul who was from Gorham. The award is given in the spirit of a long running career.

A special thanks to all volunteers who made this event possible.
