Scarborough Kiwanis proudly announces its traditional Kids Fishing Derby, which will be held Saturday, May 13, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Bayley’s Camping Resort on Pine Point Road.
The Kids Fishing Derby is the hallmark of the efforts of Scarborough Kiwanis to support local children. The event reflects 20 years of community service in promoting a fun and exciting family activity that has been a memorable experience for many.
Tickets at $3 per child are available on the day of the event, and participants must bring their own fishing poles. Worms are available for purchase and prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish by age category.
The general public is welcomed to attend, but all children must be 15 years or younger and be accompanied by an adult, at all times.
Bayley’s Camping Resort has generously, annually, provided the site for this family event. This year’s sponsors are Saco & Bidderford Savings Institution and Cloutier Direct Inc. Co-sponsors include Key Bank and Ron Forest & Sons Fence Co.
