Stolen Purse

A Christmas Tree Shop customer reported the theft of a purse she had left in a shopping cart on Feb. 19. There was $60 in the purse along with identification and credit cards.

Burglary

On Feb. 20, at 1:57 a.m., a Kelly Lane resident reported that someone had broken into his home while he left for the evening. The thieves stole a television, a diamond and emerald ring and some prescription medicine.

Lost squirrel

On Feb. 20, a Hillside Avenue resident reported that a grey squirrel had entered his home and was caught behind the chimney flue.

Sex abuse

On Feb. 21, a mother and her six-year-old daughter reported to police that the girl’s father had engaged in unlawful sexual contact with the child. The case remains under investigation.

Car burglary

On Feb. 21, a woman picking up her child at an Enterprise Drive day care center said her purse stolen while she was gone.

House theft

On Feb. 22, a builder working on Lancaster Lane reported that someone had broken into a partially finished home and stolen four boxes of roofing shingles. The shingles were valued at $400.

Drive thru rage

On Feb. 23, a customer at the Banknorth drive-through window reported that a person behind him in a truck was swearing while he was doing his banking. The man left the drive-through and pulled over into an adjoining lot and approached the driver of the truck to apologize for taking so long. The driver then yelled at him and spat on him. Police were notified and expect to file charges.

Insurance harassment

On Feb. 23, an employee of Progressive Insurance reported receiving harassing phone calls from a potential customer.

Lost driver

On Feb. 25, at 1:57 p.m., a man stopped at the Sunoco and asked for directions. Employees suspected the man might have been intoxicated. Police caught up with Robert DeAngelis, 27, of North Waterboro and arrested him, charging him with OUI.

Stephen M. Shaw, 52, of Kelly Lane, Scarborough, was arrested on Kelly Lane on a warrant charge of failing to pay fine for operating after suspension.

Ronald J. Landry, 38, of Olympia Street, Portland, was arrested on Route 1 on charges of operating after suspension and improper plates.

Kevin M. Sawyer, 20, of Dingley Spring Road, Gorham, was arrested on Dingley Spring Road on a warrant charge of failing to pay fine for operating after suspension.

Kevin J. Gobeil, 40, of Cliff Avenue, Old Orchard Beach, was arrested on Route 1 on a warrant charge of failing to appear for criminal threatening and disorderly conduct.

Lamont S. Collins, 33, of Summer Street, Biddeford, was arrested on Payne Road on a warrant charge from York County of failing to pay fines.

Michael R. Frechette, 37, of Old Mill Road, Sanford, was arrested on Payne Road on charges of fictitious inspection, improper plates and operating after suspension.

Lindsay R. Maffei, 29, of Westbrook Street, South Portland, was arrested at Wal-Mart in Scarborough on charges of theft by unauthorized taking.

Jonathan M. Raymond, 26, of Alfred Street, Biddeford, was arrested on Pine Point Road on charges of violating conditions of release and DV assault.

Richard A. Jollie, 22, of King Street, Westbrook, was arrested on King Street on a warrant charge of failing to appear for theft.

Jason P. Smith, 19, of Gorham Road, Scarborough, was arrested on a warrant charge of burglary to motor vehicle/theft by unauthorized taking.

Feb. 24

Cameron J. Fox, 20, of Jones Creek Drive, Scarborough, was arrested on King Street on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, operating under the influence, falsifying physical evidence and violation of bail.

Jason P. Colunio, 30, of Lavoie Drive, Biddeford, was arrested on a warrant charge of failing to pay fine for theft.
