Recently both Time Magazine and the Wall Street Journal have featured articles on T’ai Chi describing it as “the perfect exercise.”

The current interest and popularity in the practice of this ancient Chinese meditative movement is further fueled by the hard-working and hard-playing attitude of many people these days. T’ai Chi’s offers a unique integration of health and fitness and relaxation techniques.

T’ai Chi was developed as a martial art. Only in the past 100 years has it been practiced significantly for its healing benefits. It is sometimes called the most widely practiced daily exercise program in the world.

T’ai Chi is a martial art and a healing practice. The real key is the cultivation of relaxation. Anybody participating in an athletic event, or business negotiation or when asking the boss for a raise – if able to maintain high-quality relaxation – will perform better.

One of the major benefits of T’ai Chi is that you don’t go off away from the world -you cultivate the skills to relax in the world as it exists around you. T’ai Chi is also touted for its healing power.

A lot of studies suggest it results in much better, faster and cheaper outcomes than what Western medicine has to offer.

T’ai Chi is not only good for relaxation and stretching, but can even help the weekend warrior be better able to pursue all their favorite activities such as ice hockey, hiking or running.
