Lake Region Community Theatre invites all interested actors to attend a series of four weekly workshops on Method Acting. They will be held at the Knights Hill Club House, West Bridgton on four consecutive Fridays, October 14, 21, 28 and November 4 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Former New York resident Bill Felts will conduct the workshop entitled “An Actor Prepares.” He has spent over 30 years acting and directing for off-Broadway, summer stock and community theatre. He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and at the Actors Studio in New York City.
This special workshop is an introduction only to the “method” as taught by the Actors Studio and developed by Lee Strassberg. Among the legendary students of Strassberg were Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman and Marilyn Monroe.
Cost for this exceptional workshop is $25 and covers all four weeks. Registration closes October 10. For more information, call Mary Hubka at 647-3793.
