Meeting

The Rebekahs will meet September 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall. The program will be a swap meet and Rita Carey and Anita Burns are in charge of the refreshments.

Home

Kevin, Melissa and Cassidy Bailey have returned home after a 10-day trip to Tennessee where they visited his sister and family. They also did some sightseeing in Virginia and Pennsylvania including going to Sesame Street Park.

Back Home

Wes Mason is back home after spending several days in Mercy Hospital. He seems to be doing much better.

Now through the end of October you can see lithographs and sketches by native Maine artist Jean Brush Hill on display at the Windham Public Library. The artwork being shown, nine lithographs and two pencil sketches were completed during the artist’s graduate studies program at Southern Connecticut State University as part of a Connecticut State art certification program. Most of her lithograph prints were drawn on Bavarian limestone with a grease pencil.

A reminder that the Windham Historical Society is open to the public on Thursday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by and take advantage of the wealth of information the society has gathered.

The Windham Health Council will hold their first fall meeting September 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Freda Scott. Refreshments will be served and anyone may attend. If anyone is interested in more information about the Council they may contact may Lunt at 892-6308. They meet the first Wednesday of each month.

Reunion

Donald and Joanne Vance hosted the 50th reunion for the Windham High School

class of 1955 at their cottage on August 14. The meal was a surf and turf cooked by David and Judy Vance, Carl Hinckson, Roberta Hall and Susan and Roger Dumond. Those attending were: Robert and Marilyn Glantz Shaw, Shirley Shaw Irish, Arthur and Virgnia Wescott Voter, Jean Erickson Hamlin, Ernest and Sue Nichols, Kathleen Kelley Soldier, Billy and May Vaughn, Ronnie Langille, Helen Cyr Mohn, Donnie Small, Roger and Jeanne Reeves and Stan and Neola Brown. About half of their class was able to attend.
