Cutline (Gorham Remembered) – This picture shows a scene in Gorham Village, as it appeared about 1880. The store, which was built as a tavern in 1779 by Cary McLellan, was owned by Roscoe G. Harding when the photo was taken. Sierra’s Restaurant is in the present day building at that site at the corner of State and School streets, the intersection of routes 25 and 114. The public can review historical photos and records 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays at the Gorham Historical Society Museum, 28 School St. Photo courtesy of George Watson, Gorham Historical Society archivist.
