Environmental stewards say no compromise on Hedgehog Mountain bike plan
A month after the Freeport Town Council asked the Conservation Commission to search for a compromise that would allow a planned Hedgehog Mountain bike trail system to move forward, the commission unanimously decided Tuesday evening that it would not amend its recommended prohibition on bikes on the mountain’s summit.

Kim Pacelli of Topsham was appointed to the SAD 75 School Board on an interim basis on Feb. 16 by the Topsham Select Board. She will serve the remaining nine months of Nancy Chandler’s three-year term after Chandler recently resigned.
