Leda, a cafe offering supervised child care services, closed on Marginal Way in Portland on Monday after about five months in business.

The 800-square-foot cafe was located within Salud Fitness at 265 Marginal Way.

“After much thought and many sleepless nights, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Leda, including both the café and the playspace,” reads a social media post from owner Naomi Hall on Oct. 25. “Unfortunately, the business has reached a point where it’s no longer financially sustainable in our current location, and it’s time for me to step back.”

Hall was previously co-owner of Omi’s Coffee Shop in South Portland, which closed in 2023 after nine years. She could not be reached for further details on the decision to close Leda’s.
