HARPSWELL

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday night that missing 16-year-old Lilia Simmons of Harpswell is with her brother and is safe.

The sheriff’s office released a press release earlier in the day seeking the public’s help in locating the teen who was reported missing by her mother, who lives in Harpswell.

Lilia was last seen at Harpswell Coastal Academy in Brunswick Monday afternoon, where she is a student. She has no access to a phone or vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office, so her parents were very concerned for Lilia’s well-being.
