
John was born to Lorina Eglantine Pinette and Aime Tondreault of Brunswick, Maine in 1936. He married Donna Rae Sholler, of Danvers, Massachusetts, on November 9th, 1956.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years as well as his three daughters, Deborah Mellott, Victoria Tondreault, and Tina Peltier. He was affectionately known as Pepere by his seven grandchildren, Jack Bond, Victoria Lindsay, Shaun Fox, Kristen Kochanski, Nolan Mellott and Kasey and Soren Munoz. His extended family includes twelve great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his grandson United States Navy EN2 John Otis Lawson.
John was the eldest of four children. He is survived by his sister Diane Tondreault, and his brothers Donald and Paul Tondreault.
John grew up in Maine and after working over 40 years in California as a painter and a contractor, and raising his family there, he retired back to Maine. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by family and friends who knew and loved him.
