CAMDEN (AP) — Police say a 90-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle while lying on the roadway on U.S. 1.
Police say a person called 911 to report that a man in sleeping clothes was on the roadway and then tried unsuccessfully to flag down a dump truck before it ran over the man Thursday morning.
The victim, Henry Dircks, died on the roadway outside his home.
Police say visibility was poor because of rain and fog. They’re investigating how Dircks came to be on the roadway
