BRUNSWICK — CHANS Home Health & Hospice will be holding an interfaith memorial event for anyone who has lost a loved one in the past year.
The event, titled “A Time for Remembering,” will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church at 320 Church Road, Brunswick.
“A Time for Remembering” honors people who received end-of-life care from CHANS Home Health & Hospice, as well as others in the community who have died.
The special service celebrates life and love through music, poetry, sacred text, and a reading of the names of those who have died. Families are invited to bring a framed photograph of their loved one to display in a place of honor for the duration of the celebration. Refreshments will be served after the service.
People who would like to have the name of a loved one read at the service should call Andy Sokoloff, Coordinator of Bereavement Services at CHANS Home Health & Hospice at (207) 721-1357, by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2. Messages are welcomed with name, contact information, and the full name as you wish it to be read at the service.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
