DAMARISCOTTA — Skidompha Library will screen “West Side Story,” the 1961 film based on “Romeo and Juliet,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Porter Meeting Hall. Use the Elm Street entrance.
The film resets the Romeo and Juliet story in the Upper West Side of New York City during the 1950s. It won 10 Academy Awards, including best picture.
A $5 donation will help maintain and increase the library’s classic film collection.
