BRUNSWICK — As a participant in Longfellow Days, the Pejepscot Historical Society will open the Joshua L. Chamberlain House Museum free of charge from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday.
The museum is located at 226 Maine St., across from Chamberlain’s statue. Free parking is available behind the house, around the corner off Potter Street.
Escorted tours will include Longfellow’s room in the house and information about the relationship between Chamberlain and Longfellow.
The Pejepscot Historical Society Reference Room at 159 Park Row will be open its regular hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p. m. Saturday. Admission there is also free.
The museum stores will also be open in both places.
