Pennell, daughter of Jim and Marie Pennell, is a 2002 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School, and graduated with a B.S. degree in business management and accounting from Elmira College in 2006 and an M.B.A. from Endicott College in 2007. She is currently employed with Commonwealth Financial Network.
Lopez, son of Heidi and Ray VonAsch, graduated from North Reading High in 2002 and the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 2007. He is currently employed with Archstone Property Management.
Their wedding is planned for Sept. 8, 2012, at the York Harbor Inn in York, Maine.
