The Bowdoin International Music Festival has announced that Kippy Rudy, BIMF’s Director of Development for the past three years, will soon leave the Festival to become the new Deputy Director of MASS Creative.
“I have loved working at the Festival, the staff has been a second family to me for the last three years, and I have enjoyed getting to know our patrons and supporters. I feel so lucky to be able to consider so many of them friends,” Kippy said. “But mostly I have enjoyed working with our young artists. They work so hard at their instruments and composition; they arrive here driven and motivated and committed to learning all aspects of chamber music. I know the future of classical music is safe in their hands.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
