BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick School Board will host the second in a series of budget workshops during a meeting tonight.
Today’s forum will focus on English as a Second Language, gifted-and-talented and alternative education programs.
In total, the district expects to close a budget gap of around $ 3million between decreases in federal and state revenue.
The board held a meeting last week to solicit public input on a variety of topics. Tonight, the board will accept public comment on the three specific topics listed above.
The forum is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today in the town council chambers on Station Avenue.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
