NORRIDGEWOCK (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a Smithfield man involved in a car crash in Norridgewock died at his home just hours later.
An autopsy has been conducted on 54- year- old John Mosher to determine a cause of death. Results were not immediately made public.
Police say Mosher was involved in a single-vehicle crash at about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. He lost control of his car and slammed into a light post.
Police say he was checked out at the scene by paramedics for abrasions on his head and arm, but refused further treatment and did not want to be taken to a hospital.
He died at his home at about 6:30 a.m.
The crash and death remain under investigation.
