BRUNSWICK — The University of Southern Maine women’s track and field team finished second among the eight teams competing at the Aloha Relays held Friday and Saturday at Bowdoin College.
Liz O’Neal (Brunswick/Mt. Ararat) took home a runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles with her time of 1:05.24.
The 4 x 400 combination of Nicole Kirk, junior Jasmine Boyle (Brunswick), O’Neal and Deonna DaSilva posted a time of 4:11.05.
O’Neal had a third-place finish in the 100 hurdles, setting a personal best time of 15.34. She met the qualifying standards for the New England Division III and ECAC Division III meets.
Host Bowdoin edged Southern Maine for the top spot, 171-165. Bates was third with 125, and Colby was fourth with 90.
The Huskies return to competition this upcoming Saturday at the annual New England Alliance/Little East Conference
Championships being hosted by the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.
