MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Are you part of the hospitality industry in Maine? Do you want to increase your business? Then you should consider joining the Maine Office of Tourism’s PR Partners program. MOT’s PR Partners program brings together Maine’s hospitality industry and its wealth of travel experiences with media and tourism decision makers who have influence on the traveling public.

This program brings together print, online and broadcast journalists, photographers, bloggers and international tour operators to visit our great state of Maine. Their firsthand experiences and stories then attract those travelers, so important to the Maine economy.

How do you help and benefit?

Well, these folks need the whole experience from lodging to dining to attractions. You provide these parts of the travel experience at a discount or for free. Not only are you marketing your own property, but you’re contributing to the marketing of Maine. The PR team keeps a database of all participating businesses and calls on you depending on what type of story the request is for. Coverage from the trips and your properties is tracked and results reported to you.

This chamber, from personal experience, can attest that all of these journalists, photographers and bloggers are pre-qualified by MOT to ensure that they are either on assignment or have a strong track record of editorial placements.
