LISBON — The Town Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today to hold a budget workshop and consider awarding a contract for a sewer main rehabilitation project along Route 196.

Before convening the budget workshop, the council will consider two proposals for rehabilitation of a six-inch sewer main on Route 196 near the Napa store, according to the memo from town engineer Ryan Leighton. The firms who submitted bids are Ted Berry Trenchless Team LLC of Livermore, and Eastern Pipe Service, LLC of Bow, N.H.

Leighton recommends awarding the project to Eastern Pipe Service for $18,392. Eastern Pipe Service can do the work concurrent to the 12-inch sewer lining project the council awarded to Eastern Pipe Service for $26,950 on March 6, with the work to be done before the state paves the road.

According to Leighton’s memo, that project, involving lining 700 feet of main, is 100 feet longer than originally identified, which increases the project cost by $4,170 to $31,120.

In other business tonight, the Town Council will consider mass gathering permits for the Moxie Festival and Lisbon Promotions Committee; renewal of victualers licenses for 18 businesses; and 13 mobile home park renewals.
