CASTLETON, Vt. — The Thomas College men’s tennis team closed out its season Saturday with a 7-2 loss at Castleton University in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division semifinal match.

Thomas (8-8), which had posted a 5-4 decision in the regular-season meeting between the schools, won both top-flight matches but was unable to capture another team point.

The loss also ended the Terriers’ eight-match winning streak.

Castleton got off to a quick start with a pair of wins in doubles play to take an early 2-1 lead. Soren Pelz- Walsh and Quentin Barthe took down Ross Munn of Brunswick and Nathan Philbrook in the No. 2 flight with an 8-0 result.

Munn battled hard from his No. 4 singles spot, dropping a tough three-set match.
