One such opportunity is tonight, Wednesday, May 28, and it’s called Chamber After Hours. This open house-style event occurs from 5 to 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month. A different chamber member hosts the event to provide a firsthand look at their business, introduce their staff and provide a social evening for other business people.
It also provides time to get your marketing message out to a wide variety of attendees. Most Chamber After Hours have more than 125 people in attendance.
Can you speak to all of them? Probably not. But you can surely meet and greet a half dozen, set up follow-up appointments and you’ll increase your customer/client base. This face-to-face way of doing business can’t be beat … everyone does business with people they know and trust. Networking is a way to start building that relationship.
Tonight’s host is The Brunswick Hotel and Tavern located at 4 Noble St., in downtown Brunswick. They’ll be providing delicious refreshments, a cash bar and a live jazz trio for entertainment. In addition three of the chamber’s students in our Young Entrepreneurs Academy will have exhibits showing off their businesses, the newest ones in the southern Mid-coast Maine region. The fee is your time and effort. SMMC never charges for the owners and employees of a business to attend Chamber After Hours.
Please see our scrolling calendar at www.midcoastmaine.com for more information and to register for all events. For some, the seating is limited. Don’t miss out!
