GARDINER — Brunswick reeled off eight straight goals to take control in rolling to a 14-6 Eastern Maine Class A girls high school lacrosse victory over Gardiner on Thursday.
The 2-0 Dragons led 6-5 with 16:30 remaining in the second half. After a time out, Brunswick took care of business.
Dakota Foster led the way with six goals and one assist for the Dragons. Caroline Wild picked up a goal and dished out five helpers, while Suzannah Smith finished with one goal and three assists, Annie Kelly and Corinne O’Connor two goals apiece, Lillian Kjellman one goal and a helper, Jen Machin one goal and Liz Faulkner an assist.
In goal, Brunswick netminder Molly Herman made six stops.
The Dragons are slated to visit Mt. Ararat on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

The host Falcons broke into the win column, slipping past North Yarmouth Academy.
Freeport, 1-2, led 5-4 at the half, and outscored the Panthers by the same margin in the second half.
Jess Hench and Emily Johnson each scored twice for the Falcons, with Alex Mitch, Becca Lane, Meredith Broderick, Jocelyn Davee, Julia Dearden and Jasmine Olins adding a goal each. Hench and Mitch had an assist each.
Katherine Millett paced NYA with three goals and one assist, with Kate Cawley adding three goals, and Abby McKelvy and Hannah Twombly one apiece.
Freeport, which is slated to visit Greely on Tuesday (4 p.m.), received five saves from goaltender Molly Lane.
