BRUNSWICK — A two-car collision at the corner of Spring and Weymouth streets Tuesday afternoon sent one woman to a local hospital.
Police responded just after 1 p.m. Tuesday after reports that a 1995 Ford had struck a 2003 Honda and pushed it into the nearby yard at 28 Spring St., according to Brunswick Police Deputy Chief Marc Hagan.
The driver of the Ford, Kathleen Torrey, 73, of 22 Baribeau Drive, had apparently failed to yield at the intersection and struck the Honda, driven by 50-year-old Donna Vandyck of 211 Hillside Road.
The Honda struck and damaged a wooden fence, vinyl siding and bushes in the yard, Hagan said.
Vandyck was uninjured, but Torrey was taken to a local hospital with complaints of chest and stomach pain. Her condition was unavailable at press time.
No charges will be filed.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
