RICHMOND — Leandra Martin fired a one-hitter as Richmond High School blanked Vinalhaven 15-0 in East-West Conference softball action on Monday.
The Bobcats improved to 5- 0 and are scheduled to visit Sacopee Valley on Friday and visit Greenville on Saturday for a doubleheader.
Martin allowed only a firstinning single with 11 strikeouts and no walks.
The Richmond offense banged out 15 hits and broke the game open with nine runs in the fourth inning before the contest was called in the fifth due to the Mercy Rule.
Danica Hurley had two singles and a triple, Bri Snedeker two singles, Lindsy Hoopingarner four singles and two RBIs, Ciarra Lancaster three singles and three RBIs, and Jamie Plummer two singles.

Visiting Nokomis rallied from a 5-0 deficit to pick up a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win at Bath.
Becky Orcutt’s three-run home run in the sixth inning tied the game, 5-5, and Nokomis tacked on a pair of runs in the seventh for the win.
Orcutt pitched the final three frames on two strikeouts and one walk.
Megan Hixon pitched for Morse (1-6), with seven strikeouts and one walk.
Brianna Bigelow had a double and two singles lead the Shipbuilders’ offense. Hannah Russell and Nichole Laggan each singled and doubled, while Katie Henrikson had a double, and Lucy Rawson, Hixon and Kate Dube a single apiece.
Danielle George had a double for Nokomis (5-2), with Taylor Lovely adding a pair of singles.
Morse is scheduled to host Oceanside on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

In Western Maine Conference play at Cumberland, the host Rangers scored six runs in the fifth inning to pull away.
Mykaela Twitchell launched a home run, and Edith Aromando delivered a key run-scoring double during Greely’s (5-1) big inning. On the mound, Daniell Cimino had 13 strikeouts, permitted four hits and walked two.
Leigh Wyman took the loss for 2-4 Freeport on five strikeouts, 11 hits and four walks.
The Falcons are slated to host Traip Academy on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The visiting Greyhounds exploded for 10 runs in the third inning for a Mountain Valley Conference win.
Arianna Kahler singled three times, Brooke Lawrence singled and doubled, and Kalyn Hill ripped a triple as part of Lisbon’s (4-2) 13-hit attack.
On the mound, Kimber Morse and Hill combined on five strikeouts and allowed three hits.
Lisbon is slated to visit St. Dom’s on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and hosts Mt. Abram in make-up action on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Ashley West struck out nine, walked one and permitted four hits as the visiting Vikings improved to 5-2 at Topsham.
Breanna Martin doubled and hit two home runs to finish with four RBIs for Oxford Hills, while Abby Bernier doubled twice.
Mallory Nelson picked up a pair of singles for Mt. Ararat (2-5). Emily Dunn and Taylor Pare each singled, while pitcher Kim Leslie allowed 15 hits and five walks.
The Eagles are slated to visit Brunswick today.
