BATH — The Plant Home pitching duo of Thomas Warren and Jackson Walker combined for a no-hitter, striking out 17 of 18 batters while walking only three in a recent Bath Cal Ripken Minor Division 8-0 win over Cahill’s Tire.
Warren pitched four innings, striking out 12 and walking two, and helped his own cause by going 2-for-3 with a single and a double.
Walker struck out five, walked one and stroked a double in the first inning. Isaac Flaming was 2-for-2 with two singles.
The Plant Home also received singles from Logan Pelletier, Joey Cholish, Nate Mains, Ryan Reynolds and Alec Robson.
For Cahill’s, Nicco Bartone pitched well, striking out 10 in five innings of work.
In recent Opening Day action, Plant Home defeated Montsweag Roadhouse, 11-1.
Warren pitched two innings, striking out six and went 3-for-3 with two singles and a double. Flaming had two singles, a double and pitched two innings, striking out five. Pelletier smacked two doubles, while Sam Kirkpatrick and Mains each singled.
For Montsweag Roadhouse, Cam Footer, Cory Klein, Taylor Scheibner and Seth Stachmus each singled, with Scheibner playing solid behind the plate.
