TOPSHAM — The Oratorio Chorale will present “A Musical Journey” for its annual spring recital at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mid Coast Presbyterian Church, 84 Main St.
“Singers will travel the halls of music with solos, duets and quartets, performing familiar tunes and a variety of pieces new to many,” an Oratorio Chorale release states. “An ensemble of about a dozen singers will also bring back a couple of songs from the 1940s. Piano solos are also included in this year’s program.”
Accompaniment for the chorale will be by Derek Herzer, who will also perform a piano solo.
At the conclusion of the program, audience members are invited to join the Chorale in singing Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “It’s a Grand Night for Singing,” from “State Fair.”
During intermission, members of the audience and the Chorale will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and a chance to visit.
A suggested donation of $10 at the door supports the Chorale’s outreach activities and programs.
