BATH

At a town meeting-style hearing Tuesday, residents of the five communities that make up Regional School Unit 1 voted 137-6 to make no further changes to a proposed $26 million budget for 2012-13.

The budget will now go to a district-wide referendum on Tuesday.

All proposed budget items passed as presented, Superintendent Patrick Manual said Wednesday, although several amendments were proposed, but defeated.

On May 15, the RSU 1 board voted unanimously to approve the proposed budget, restoring funding for the district’s pre-kindergarten program, a soccer program at Woolwich Central School, and reducing the projected increase in each town’s education contribution.
