BATH — Liam McDonough and Zach Holbrook each had two hits to power Smith-Tobey Post 21 (2-9) to a 9-5 American Legion Zone III baseball win over Highland Green of Topsham on Tuesday at Kelley Field.
McDonough singled and tripled, while Holbrook doubled in the win, and Ethan Winglass picked up a double.
On the mound, Dakota Jacobs and Winglass combined to allow five hits, walk eight and strike out two.
Riley Kons led Highland Green (5-7) with two hits, including a double. Liam Brannigan doubled, Sam Coombs drove in a pair of runs with a single and Cam Cox picked up an RBI single.
Kevin Carter and Eddie Stewart combined to allow eight hits and strike out four.
Highland Green is slated to visit rival Brunswick on Thursday (5:30 p.m.), while Smith-Tobey heads to Bethel to take on Locke Mills for a Thursday doubleheader at 4 p.m.

Jake Simond went 4-for-5 and drove in a pair of runs as Tri-Town (6-3) rolled to a win at Bath.
Luke Johnson singled, doubled and tripled in the win and pitched a solid game.
For Smith-Tobey, Ethan Brewer and Jacobs each doubled and drove in a run.
