ELLSWORTH (AP) — A Lamoine man has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges in a fatal shooting in March outside his eastern Maine home.
Thirty-year-old Michael Carter has been charged with killing 32-year-old Lawrence “Randy” Sinclair Jr. on March 11.
On Monday, Carter pleaded not guilty to murder, elevated aggravated assault, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
The Bangor Daily News reports that more than 30 people attended the arraignment, some of them wearing buttons with a photograph of Sinclair.
Carter was arrested on Friday. A bail hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
