Harpswell voters approved a $25,000 appropriation to deal with a collapsed mooring dolphin near the pier at Mitchell Field in voting Tuesday.

With around 23 percent of Harpswell’s registered voters casting ballots, townspeople also approved a mobile food handlers ordinance and zoning changes to accommodate that new ordinance.

Votes at each of the town’s three polling places — Merriconeag Grange, Orr’s Island School and the Cundy’s Harbor Community Building — cast a majority of ballots in favor of the three articles presented Tuesday.

In total, 545 voters supported approval of the mobile food handlers ordinance, while 298 voters opposed it.

For Article 3, asking voters whether to approve zoning changes to accommodate the food handlers ordinance, 529 voters approved and 310 dissented.

On Article 4, to appropriate $25,000 to remove and remediate damage from the collapsed mooring dolphin, 562 residents cast “yes” ballots, while 249 voted “no.”
