THE MONMOUTH INVITATIONAL Baseball Tournament was held this past weekend, with Ararat and Lisbon competing in the seven-team field. Ararat won the title, defeating Skowhegan in the championship game, 13-5, on Sunday. Ararat opened with a 4-0 victory over Waterville on Friday, defeated Farmington, 2-1 and Skowhegan, 5-3, to advance to the championship. Lisbon fell to Skowhegan, 3- 0, in its opener before outslugging host Monmouth, 17-12 on Saturday. Lisbon’s run ended in a 6-5 loss to Farmington.
