MILFORD, MA — Laura Belle (Dunlop) Carbonneau, 94, of Bailey Island, Maine and formerly of Milford, died Monday, July 16, 2012 in the Horizon Living & Rehab Center in Brunswick, ME.

She was the wife of the late Nelson J. Carbonneau who died in 1965.

Mrs. Carbonneau was a retired accountant for the American Hoechst Corp. in Somerville, New Jersey for 18 years prior to her retirement in 1983.

She was born May 20, 1918 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late John Alec and Christine (Beaton) Dunlop and had been a resident of Piscataway, NJ for many years prior to moving to Milford in 1986.

Mrs. Carbonneau was a graduate of Glace Bay Central High School in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and a volunteer at the Milford Regional Medical Center, and then Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine.

She is survived by one son David Mark Carbonneau and wife Marcy of Nashville, TN, a daughter Therese Dudak of Bailey Island, ME, one brother Donald Dunlop of Cornwall, England, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Mon. Aug. 6, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St., Braintree, MA. There will be no public visiting hours.
