BATH — The Bath Area Family YMCA is scheduled to hosts its Golf Classic and Million Dollar Shoot-Out on Aug. 17 at the Mere Creek Golf Club in Brunswick.
Therewillbea1p.m.shotgun start with scramble play. The team fee is $300 (or $75 per person) which includes green fees, carts, and tickets to the Sunset BBQ following the tournament.
There is chance to win a car (courtesy of Newcastle Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge) on a hole-in-one, as well as a chance to win $1,000,000.
All proceeds go to the YMCA’ annual campaign which benefits its Financial Aid and Scholarship Program.

BOWDOIN — Ray Bishop of Lisbon Falls carded a Country Fareways Par-3 hole-inone on the 100-yard, ninth hole, using his pitching wedge and teeing off from the blue tees.
Bishop was participating in the Thursday Night Scramble and his teammates were Tom Fournier and David Wienckowski, both of Bowdoin.
