WISCASSET — East Boothbay watercolorist Tony van Hasselt will exhibit “My Studio Without Walls: Maine and Beyond,” for the month of August at Maine Art Gallery, 15 Warren St.
Gallery hours are Thursdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays 11a.m. to 4 p.m.
A reception is planned for Friday, Aug. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A news release describes the artist as follows:
Van Hasselt is an elected member of the American Watercolor Society, and has been painting for more than 40 years.
A native of the Netherlands, van Hasselt studied with Frank Reilly at New York’s famous Art Students League, has written and co-authored art instruction books and DVDs, and contributes to both American and Dutch art publications.
