BRUNSWICK — As she begins her second season as the director of the Oratorio Chorale Emily Isaacson has set Sunday, Sept. 7 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. to meet and audition singers interested in joining the Chorale. All auditions will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Pleasant St. Brunswick.
At their first concert in November the Chorale will perform the Mozart “Requiem,” which will be staged in three performances, November 22 and 23. The Chorale will perform with the Bowdoin Chorus, with orchestral accompaniment by the Mozart Mentors and members of the Portland Symphony. Soloists for the performance are members of the Grammy awardwinning ensemble “Roomful of Teeth.” The ensemble will be in residence at Bowdoin and will also offer a concert from their own repertoire.
Auditions last 15 minutes and consist of vocal exercises. No prepared music is required. Callbacks will take place during the first rehearsal on Sept. 7 from 6:30 to 9:30 at Kresge Auditorium, Visual Arts Center, Bowdoin College. Candidates should plan to attend the first rehearsal.
