AUGUSTA — The Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine recently announced that Hope Perkins has assumed the role of president and CEO of the organization.
Perkins, who recently held the post of vice president of member services, has been with ABC Maine for more than six years. Previously, Perkins worked for H.E. Sargent in Old Town.
“It has been a dream of mine to serve the members in this capacity. I look forward to leading this group, a group that I have called my ABC family for a long time, to continued success and growth in the years to come,” Perkins said in a news release.
Perkins will replace James Cote, who will transition to the position of director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for the association.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
